- Full-grain Italian leather, Terracare certified. The dense outer layer of the hide is left intact, which is the layer that resists abrasion and lets the leather age instead of crack.
- Sympatex® membrane. Waterproof and breathable, so rain stays out and sweat vapour gets out. PTFE-free and fully recyclable, which most riding membranes are not.
- Vibram® outsole. Grips wet pegs and wet road, wears slowly, and can be replaced when it finally goes.
- Goodyear welted construction. Upper, welt and sole are stitched rather than glued, so a cobbler can resole the shoe instead of you replacing it.
- Removable leather and latex insole. Take it out to dry the shoe properly, or swap in your own orthotic.
- CE certified to EN 13634:2017, category CE-CAT2. The European standard for motorcycle footwear, covering abrasion resistance, impact cut resistance and transverse rigidity.

Who should choose brandy in the women's range?
Riders who want the shoe to be seen. Where grey and blue are built to disappear, brandy is the opposite: a warm cognac leather with light stitching that people notice and ask about. It suits classic, scrambler and cafe racer builds, and anything with tan leather or brown grips.
The women's range covers both ends. Grey on black goes anywhere unnoticed. Brandy on cream does not try to.

Wearing them off the bike, all day
This is the part of the design that gets undersold. A low welted leather shoe with a removable leather and latex insole walks like a good walking shoe, not like a riding boot, and brandy is the colour most likely to be worn somewhere other than a bike.
In practice that means a full working day, a city on foot, a rally, a long lunch. The Vibram sole grips wet pavement and gravel as well as it grips wet pegs, and there is no shaft above the ankle to rub when you walk. What it is not is a hiking boot: there is no support above the collar and no shank for uneven mountain ground, so take proper boots for a serious walk.

Should brandy be your first pair or your second?
Your second, for most riders. Brandy shows water spotting and road salt within a couple of wet weeks where black hides both, so it rewards being the fair-weather pair rather than the daily commuter. If you only own one pair and ride year-round, black is the more sensible first buy.
This is not a reason to avoid it, just a reason to be honest about what you are choosing. Protection is identical across every colour: same hide, same membrane, same sole, same certification.
