Product features of the Adventure Denver men's motorcycle shoe, dark brown
- Handmade in Italy. Cut, stitched and lasted by hand in an Italian workshop that has been building this shoe for over 20 years.
- Full-grain Italian leather, Terracare certified. The dense outer layer of the hide is left intact, which is the layer that resists abrasion and lets the leather age instead of crack.
- Sympatex® membrane. Waterproof and breathable, so rain stays out and sweat vapour gets out. PTFE-free and fully recyclable, which most riding membranes are not.
- Vibram® outsole. Grips wet pegs and wet road, wears slowly, and can be replaced when it finally goes.
- Goodyear welted construction. Upper, welt and sole are stitched rather than glued, so a cobbler can resole the shoe instead of you replacing it.
- Removable leather and latex insole. Take it out to dry the shoe properly, or swap in your own orthotic.
- CE certified to EN 13634:2017, category CE-CAT2. The European standard for motorcycle footwear, covering abrasion resistance, impact cut resistance and transverse rigidity.
- Independently tested by PFI. Certification comes from an outside test institute rather than from our own claims.
- Sizes 40 to 48, men's last, whole sizes. Cut true to size with a normal riding sock, and scaled properly across the range rather than stretched from a smaller pattern.
- 13 lace colours. Laces are the cheapest way to change how the shoe reads, and they take two minutes to swap.
- 24 month warranty, free maintenance kit, resoling and repair afterwards.
- Free worldwide shipping, normally delivered in about three working days.
Which bikes and clothes does dark brown suit?
Dark brown is the classic choice. It belongs with retro and scrambler bikes, cafe racers and anything with a leather saddle or brown grips, and off the bike it works with jeans, chinos and casual tailoring in a way black contrast-stitched shoes do not.
This is the pair riders buy when the shoe has to do more work off the bike than on it. Tonal stitching means there's no contrast line at all, so what you're left with is the shape, the welt and the leather.
It's a harder colour to wear with a dark suit than black is, which is the one trade-off. With everything from jeans upward it's the most versatile shoe in the range.
How dark brown leather ages, and what that asks of you
Brown full-grain leather changes visibly over time in a way black does not. The high points lighten, the creases deepen, and after a couple of seasons the shoe carries a patina that is genuinely unique to how you ride and walk. Most riders who choose brown are choosing it for this.
The other side of that is upkeep. Brown shows road salt, brake dust and water marks far more readily than black, so this pair asks for the conditioning routine more often: brush after wet rides, dry at room temperature well away from any heater, and condition every few weeks rather than when you remember. Heat is what ruins brown leather fastest, because it drives the oils out and leaves pale, dry patches that never fully come back. There's a maintenance kit in the box, and our motorcycle boot maintenance guide sets out the routine.
Which laces suit dark brown motorcycle shoes?
Brown laces keep the shoe fully tonal, which is the point of this pair for most buyers. Cream laces lift it and give a heritage look that suits classic bikes. Dark grey is the neutral middle option. All thirteen lace colours fit and a swap takes two minutes.
Because the shoe has no contrast stitching, laces carry more of the character here than on the black pairs. Cream laces change this shoe more than orange laces change the black and orange one.
Spare sets are in motorcycle boot laces. For a brown upper with contrast stitching, which is not one of our ready-made pairs, use design your own motorcycle shoe.
Why choose Biker Boot for men's motorcycle shoes?
This is a leather shoe that happens to be certified motorcycle footwear, tested by PFI against EN 13634:2017 rather than simply described as protective. Handmade in Italy, Goodyear welted so a worn sole is a repair, and built on a men's last that runs to 48 without distorting.
You also buy straight from the workshop rather than through a reseller. That means free worldwide shipping in about three working days, a 24 month warranty, a free maintenance kit in the box, and resoling and repair handled by us long after the warranty has run out.
