Product features of the AdventureSE Denver men's motorcycle boot, brandy with cream stitching
- Shaft Extension. An extended shaft that covers the ankle and lower shin, where a low shoe stops at the collar. This is the difference between the AdventureSE and the Adventure.
- Handmade in Italy. Cut, stitched and lasted by hand in an Italian workshop that has been building this last for over 20 years.
- Full-grain Italian leather, Terracare certified. The dense outer layer of the hide is left intact, which is the layer that resists abrasion and lets the leather age instead of crack.
- Sympatex® membrane. Waterproof and breathable, so rain stays out and sweat vapour gets out. PTFE-free and fully recyclable, which most riding membranes are not.
- Vibram® outsole. Grips wet pegs and wet road, wears slowly, and can be replaced when it finally goes.
- Goodyear welted construction. Upper, welt and sole are stitched rather than glued, so a cobbler can resole the boot instead of you replacing it.
- Removable leather and latex insole. Take it out to dry the boot properly, or swap in your own orthotic.
- CE certified to EN 13634:2017, category CE-CAT2. The European standard for motorcycle footwear, covering abrasion resistance, impact cut resistance and transverse rigidity.
- Independently tested by PFI. Certification comes from an outside test institute rather than from our own claims.
- Sizes 40 to 48, men's last, whole sizes. Cut true to size with a normal riding sock, and scaled properly across the range rather than stretched from a smaller pattern.
- 8 lace colours. The shaft takes a longer lace than the low shoe, and a set swaps in a few minutes.
- 24 month warranty, free maintenance kit, resoling and repair afterwards.
- Free worldwide shipping, normally delivered in about three working days.
Who should choose brandy in the boot range?
Riders who want the boot to be the best-looking thing they own, and who will do the work. Brandy suits classic, scrambler and cafe racer builds and anything with tan leather already on it. It is the least discreet boot we make and the one most likely to get a comment at a fuel stop.
The other three combinations are chosen on practicality. This one is chosen on looks, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you go in clear-eyed.
Protection is identical across all four: same hide, same shaft, same membrane, same sole, same certification. What differs is entirely cosmetic, and how much cosmetic upkeep you are signing up for.
Why light leather is more work on a boot than on a shoe
This is the part worth thinking about before you order, because it catches people who have owned a brandy shoe and assume the boot behaves the same way.
It does not. A shaft roughly doubles the leather on show, and it puts that leather exactly where the bike throws things: the inner face of the shaft sits against a hot engine and a chain, and the outer face takes road spray straight off the front wheel. On a low shoe the trouser leg covers most of that zone. On a boot it is exposed for the whole ride.
So brandy on a boot shows water marks, salt bloom and chain lube spatter faster and over a larger area than brandy on a shoe. The conditioning routine is the same but you need it more often, and you need to work the shaft as carefully as the foot, which most riders forget. Every two to three weeks through a wet season rather than when it occurs to you. Our motorcycle boot maintenance guide has the routine, and there is a free kit in the box.
Brandy boot or brandy shoe?
Take the shoe if you want brandy leather with less upkeep, because the trouser leg covers most of what would otherwise get dirty. Take the boot if you tour or ride cold months and want the coverage, and accept that the shaft will need conditioning more often than a shoe would.
A fair number of riders come to this pair having seen the brandy shoe and wanting the same leather with more protection. That is a reasonable instinct, but the maintenance is genuinely not equivalent.
If you ride mostly dry months, the boot in brandy is a pleasure and the upkeep is light. If you commute through a Dutch winter and this is your only pair, the black or the dark brown will still look good in March with less of your time. Compare them across men's motorcycle boots.
Why choose Biker Boot for men's motorcycle boots?
A certified touring boot in the most distinctive leather we make, handmade in Italy from traceable Terracare hide, Goodyear welted so a worn sole is a repair, and tested by PFI against EN 13634:2017.
You also buy straight from the workshop rather than through a reseller. That means free worldwide shipping in about three working days, a 24 month warranty, a free maintenance kit in the box, and resoling and repair handled by us long after the warranty has run out.
Choose your size above and order. If you want warm leather with less visible upkeep, compare the dark brown in men's motorcycle boots.
